Abstract:
Provided are a backless label stacker device in a printer, which can bring easily labels in a strip shape, which can separate the place for setting the printer (for the printing operation) and the place for applying the label strips (for the applying operation) and which can make the stacked and stored label strips easily separable, and a label stacking method for the label stacker device. The backless label stacker device is characterized by comprising a label-strip group tentative-holding mechanism (19) for holding a plurality of cut single label strips tentatively in a stacked state, a single label-strip holding mechanism (18) for holding and transferring the label strips to the label-strip group tentative-holding mechanism (19), and a label-strip shifting mechanism (20) enabled to shift the tentatively held positions of the label strips slightly by predetermined individual small strokes, by slightly shifting either the single label-strip holding mechanism (18) or the label-strip group tentative-holding mechanism (19) relatively.
