Abstract:
A backlight brightness control method and a backlight brightness control apparatus. The backlight brightness control method comprises acquiring a brightness value of emergent light of a display panel (200) (S101); a brightness control circuit (20, 120) determining a size relationship between the brightness value of emergent light and a pre-set brightness value (S102); the brightness control circuit (20, 120) transmitting an adjusted current value to a backlight drive module (30, 130) according to the size relationship (S103); and the backlight drive modules (30, 130) generating a current with the adjusted current value to drive a backlight module (220) in the display panel (200) to emit light (S104). Accordingly, in the backlight brightness control method, first, the size relationship between the brightness value of emergent light of the display panel (200) and the pre-set brightness value is determined, and then the illumination brightness of the backlight module (220) is adjusted by adjusting the magnitude of the current, so as to achieve stable control over the backlight brightness.
