Abstract:
A backlight device (8) having a plurality of cold cathode fluorescent tubes (linear
light sources) (9) in which the pitch of a fluorescent tube (9) provided on one
end side in the direction perpendicularly intersecting the center line (CL)
which passes the center in the direction perpendicularly intersecting the longitudinal
direction of the cold cathode fluorescent tubes (9) of a diffuser (light emitting
surface)(10) is differentiated from the pitch of a cold cathode fluorescent
tube (9) provided on the other end side in the direction perpendicularly intersecting
the center line (CL).
