Abstract:
A backlight device of the present invention comprises: a display board providing backlight data; and a backlight board providing backlight to a display panel, wherein the display board generates luminance data which corresponds to display data and is for the backlight, generates column data and row data corresponding to the resolution of the backlight by using the luminance data, and provides backlight data including the column data and the row data, and the backlight board has a column driver providing a column signal corresponding to the column data, a row driver providing a row signal corresponding to the row data, a plurality of light-emitting diode channels providing backlight, and current control circuits arranged for each of a plurality of control units for dividing the plurality of light-emitting diode channels.
