Abstract:
The present invention realizes a backlight device which enables, by means of a single light guide plate, achieving light emission that is adapted for local dimming. A light guide plate (10) is provided with a light extraction part which is configured such that, in the case when light enters the light guide plate (10) only from an upper light source (101), the light is extracted from a light-emitting surface of the light guide plate (10) in a light distribution as shown in fig. 6(a), and that, in the case when light enters the light guide plate (10) only from an upper light source (102), the light is extracted from the light-emitting surface of the light guide plate (10) in a light distribution as shown in fig. 6(b).
