A backlight module (100), comprising: a rear housing (11), a light guide plate (13), and a light source (12). The rear housing (11) comprises a bottom wall (111) and a side wall (112) that are connected to one another, the bottom wall (111) and the side wall (112) enclosing an accommodating cavity (Q). The light guide plate (13) is located in the accommodating cavity (Q). The light source (12) is located in the accommodating cavity (Q) and is located between the side wall (112) and a side surface (b1) of the light guide plate (13). The light source (12) comprises a circuit board (121) and multiple light-emitting devices (122) mounted on the circuit board (121); the surface of the circuit board (121) facing away from the multiple light-emitting devices (122) faces the side wall (112), and the light-emitting surfaces (a1) of the multiple light-emitting devices (122) face the side surface (b1) of the light guide plate (13).
