Abstract:
A backlight module (10) and a display device. The backlight module (10) comprises a light guide plate (11), a light bar (12), and a shading adhesive tape (13). The light guide plate (11) comprises a light incident surface (111) and three peripheral side surfaces (112). The light bar (12) is located at one side of the light incident surface (111) and provides a light source for the light guide plate (11). The shading adhesive tape (13) wraps the three peripheral side surfaces (112) so as to prevent the light of the light source arriving at the light guide plate (11) from coming out of the three peripheral side surfaces (112). By means of the backlight module (10), an adhesive frame configured for preventing light leakage of the three peripheral side surfaces (112) in the prior art is omitted while it is ensured that the three peripheral side surfaces (112) do not allow light to come out, thereby reducing the weight of the backlight module (10), reducing the width of the backlight module (10), enabling the backlight module (10) to be lighter and narrower, and reducing the production costs.
