Abstract:
A backlight module and a liquid crystal display device. The backlight module comprises a back panel (1), a heat-dissipation element (2), an LED light strip (3), a light guide plate (4), an optical film (7), and a support frame (5). The heat-dissipation element (2) comprises a base panel (21) mounted onto the back panel (1), and a side panel (22) perpendicular to the base panel (21). The support frame (5) is connected to the side panel (22). The LED light strip (3) comprises a substrate (31) and an LED light (32). A light incidence surface of the light guide plate (4) is opposite to a light-emitting surface of the LED light (32). A protruding stopper part (53) used for limiting the position of the light guide plate (4) is at least arranged at a side of the support frame (5) in proximity to the light guide plate (4), and, in the direction perpendicular to the light incidence surface of the light guide plate (4), the stopper part (53) is arranged between the LED light (32) and the light guide plate (4). The present backlight module employs the structure of the support frame (5) to ensure that the light guide plate (4) and the LED light (3) are spaced therebetween by a certain light-coupling distance, thereby increasing light-coupling efficiency, thus achieving the effect of improved display quality, and allowing for prevention of a phenomenon of reduced display quality and damaged LED light caused by changes in the light-coupling distance.
