Abstract:
A backlight module (100) and a liquid crystal display device (10). The backlight module (100) comprises a back plate (110), a light guide plate (120), a light source (130) and a plastic frame (140). The back plate (110) is used for accommodating the light guide plate (120), the light source (130) and the plastic frame (140), and comprises a bottom plate (111) and a first sidewall (112) and a second sidewall (113), wherein the first sidewall (112) and the second sidewall (113) extend towards the same direction along the two sides of the bottom plate (111). The light guide plate (120) is arranged close to the bottom plate (111), and comprises a first side surface (121) and a second side surface (122) that are oppositely arranged. The first side surface (121) is arranged close to the light source (130) and serves as the light-incident surface of the light guide plate (120). The plastic frame (140) is arranged on the bottom plate (111) and comprises a third sidewall (141) and a fourth sidewall (142), wherein the third sidewall (141) is arranged between the first sidewall (112) and the light source (130), and the fourth sidewall (142) is arranged between the second sidewall (113) and the second side surface (122). The plastic frame (140) also comprises at least one pressing mechanism (143). The pressing mechanism (143) extends towards the second side surface (122) of the light guide plate (120) from the fourth sidewall (142) and abuts against the second side surface (122) of the light guide plate (120), so that the first side surface (121) of the light guide plate (120) is close to the light-output surface of the light source (130); and the pressing mechanism (143) and the plastic frame (140) are integrally formed. The light guide plate (120) of the backlight module (100) and the liquid crystal display device (10) has a high light-incident rate.
