Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device and a backlight module. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate (10), a light source component (20) and a frame (30). The frame (30) surrounds the light guide plate (10). The light source component (20) is disposed between an incident light surface of the light guide plate (10) and the frame (30). The light source component (20) comprises a substrate (21), a luminous body (22) and a transparent body (23). The transparent body (23) packages the luminous body (22) on the substrate (21). An outer surface, directly facing the luminous body (22), of the transparent body (23) is an emergent light surface. The emergent light surface is provided with a groove (24). The groove (24) directly faces the incident light surface of the light guide plate (10). The groove (24) enables light emitted by the luminous body (22) to be gathered towards the center of the light guide plate (10). The light coupling efficiency of the backlight module can be improved.
