Abstract:
A backlight module, comprising: a reflection sheet (10), a light guide plate (20) and an optical membrane set (40), which are arranged from bottom to top, a quantum dot membrane set (30) being disposed between the light guide plate (20) and the optical membrane set (40); a light source (50) which is disposed corresponding to a side portion of the light guide plate (20), the light source (50) comprising: an excitation light source (51) and a compensation light source (52); the excitation light source (51) is used for providing an excitation light such that the quantum dot membrane set (30) emits red excitation light and green excitation light which enters the optical membrane set (40); the compensation light source (52) is used for providing blue compensation light such that the quantum dot membrane set (30) emits blue light which enters the optical membrane set (40). The backlight module may improve the excitation efficiency of quantum dots, reduce the amount of quantum dots used, reduce the content of Cd, and improve light energy utilization rate.
