Abstract:
Provided are a backlight unit and a liquid crystal display (100). The backlight unit comprises a light guide plate (20), an optical film group (30) located at one side of the light guide plate (20), and a collimation film group (50) arranged between the light guide plate (20) and the optical film group (30). A visual range of a backlight unit is reduced by correspondingly designing a collimation film group (50), for example, designing the thickness, the layer number, the refractive index of each layer and the like, thereby meeting the demands of special consumers; in another aspect, by setting the position of the collimation film group (50), assembly thereof is more convenient; and in addition, light rays are more converged, thereby reducing power consumption while increasing the brightness of the backlight unit.
