Abstract:
The present invention relates to a backscattered radiation imaging system for precise inspection of dangerous cargo in containers and a control method therefor, whereby a precise scattering image is acquired using a cylinder-type scattered X-ray detection collimator to increase the search accuracy. The imaging system comprises: an X-ray generator that irradiates an X-ray toward a container to be searched; and a cylinder-type detection collimator which allows, based on the X-ray irradiated from the X-ray generator, only scattered X-rays generated at a specific location (layer) of the container to be searched to pass through, wherein the angle of collimators is adjusted according to a layer to be measured so as to measure X-rays scattered at a specific location (layer) and thus search for dangerous cargo by area of the container.
