Abstract:
Provided is a backstop capable of preventing interference between a spacer and surrounding members. A rear jib backstop (60) for a crane (1) has an outer cylinder (60A), an inner cylinder (60B), a spacer (70), a spacer holder (80), and a lock mechanism (90). The spacer holder (80) pivotably supports the spacer (70). When a boom (16) is raised and the rear jib backstop (60) changes orientation, the spacer (70) fits against the inner cylinder (60B) and prevents the rear jib backstop (60) from contracting. The lock mechanism (90) is capable of locking the spacer (70) so as to prevent the spacer (70) from pivoting about a pivot center axis (CT) while the spacer (70) is separated from the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder (60B).
