Title:
BACTERIAL STRAIN CECT7626, USE OF SAID STRAIN IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THE WATER STRESS TOLERANCE OF A PLANT AND XEROPROTECTANT COMPOUND PRODUCED FROM SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/067442
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a microorganism of the Arthrobacter sp. bacterial species (access number CECT7626). The invention also relates to the use of said microorganism or a population of same in order to enhance the water stress tolerance of a plant or to enhance the growth of a plant with said plant under optimum water content conditions. The invention further relates to the use of said microorganism or a population of same for the production of a xeroprotectant composition, said composition comprising glucose, acetate, lactate and valine. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for enhancing the water stress tolerance of a plant or producing the xeroprotectant composition.
