Abstract:
Provided is a Lactobacillus pentosus strain TUA4337L (Accession No. NITE BP-1479) that is characterized by having the ability to propagate in the small intestine and/or the large intestine, preferably in the small intestine, after reaching the intestinal tract. As a result of the lactic acid bacterium of the present invention having the ability to propagate in the intestinal tract, said lactic acid bacterium reaches the intestinal tract and propagates when ingested, is therefore capable of continuously minimizing the absorption of fat and effectively minimizing weight gain, and can thus be suitably used for the purpose of achieving a diet effect.
