Abstract:
Provided are a badminton shuttlecock which can be struck well and has good flying characteristics, as well as improved uniformity of resilience and quality, and a shuttlecock manufacturing method with which a solvent bonding agent is not used. With a shuttlecock in which feathers are inserted into a hemispherical base part, the feather shafts of the feathers which configure the shuttlecock with the hemispherical base part and/or the binding thread are bonded with an ultraviolet-hardened bonding agent. In the shuttlecock manufacturing method, an ultraviolet-hardened bonding agent with less than 5weight% of volatile solvent component is applied to the parts of the feather shafts which are inserted into the hemispherical base part and/or the binding thread. Thereafter, ultraviolet is projected, hardening the ultraviolet-hardened bonding agent.
