A bag material for packaging, forming a package body having a carrying handle. The bag material is rolled and can be continuously supplied while being unrolled. A long tube-like base material (6) is formed from a resin film having a front sheet (1) and a rear sheet (2). At a position closer to the other edge side than a first thermal fused part (4) of the base material, a band-like sheet (3) is held in a longitudinally supported state between sheets (1, 2). Mutually fused parts (7) formed by fusing the band-like sheet (3) to the sheets (1, 2) and non-fused parts (8) are alternately formed at constant intervals in the longitudinal direction to form a bag material (10) having a large number of bags continuously connected to each other in the longitudinal direction. The carrying handle is constructed from the band-like sheet (3) at the non-fused parts (8).
