Abstract:
Developed and provided is a method by which bagworm silk is collected from a bagworm nest easily, in large amounts, and at a low cost, such silk not containing impurities and being of high quality. By utilizing the behavior of bagworms, only the pure bagworm silk forming a bagworm nest can be obtained by causing the bagworms to build a nest with a nest material of a solvent soluble material and an easily-heat-soluble material, dissolving or melting the nest material, and separating the nest material and the bagworm silk.
