Abstract:
The invention relates to a ball bearing cage (2) which has two side rings (3, 4) interconnected by webs (5), wherein rolling body pockets (6) are formed in the circumferential direction between the webs (5), each of which having a square basic shape with rounded corners. The side rings (3, 4) form together with the webs (5) a guide contour (10) of each rolling body pocket (6), which has four convex side contours (8, 9) between the corners thereof, the side contours being opposite the rounded portions in the corners. Owing to the multiple concave-convex guide contour (10) of each rolling body pocket (6), the rolling bodies (7), namely balls, are guided with low friction in the ball bearing cage (2) while providing at the same time good lubrication conditions.
