Abstract:
A ball bearing in which its reliability is enhanced by enhancing the strength
of a holder made of synthetic resin. In a ball bearing having a holder (4) made of
synthetic resin where hemispherical pockets (7) for containing balls (3) are
formed, at an interval in the circumferential direction, in the opposing surfaces
of two sheets of annular bodies (6, 6) made of synthetic resin opposing in the axial
direction, and a coupling portion (8) formed between adjoining pockets (7, 7)
of one annular body (6) is coupled with a coupling portion (8) formed between adjoining
pockets (7, 7) of the other annular body (6), and the balls (3) incorporated between
an inner ring (1) and an outer ring (2) are held by the holder (4) made of synthetic
resin, a wall (14) extending from one pocket (7) to the other adjoining pocket
(7) is formed on the side opposite to the fitting surface (11) between the coupling
portion (8) of one annular body (6) and the coupling portion (8) of the other annular
body (6).
