Abstract:
Provided are a ball joint and a dust cover configured to be able to suppress adverse effects on a seal portion even when the ball stud sways significantly. A dust cover 100 includes a deformable body portion 110, a fixed portion 120 provided on one end side of the body portion 110 and fixed to a socket 200, and a seal portion 130 provided on the other end side of the body portion 110, wherein: the seal portion 130 includes an elastic body portion that is provided integrally with the body portion 110 and has an inner peripheral seal portion 131 sliding on an outer peripheral surface of a shaft portion 310, and a reinforcing ring 150 embedded in the elastic body portion; and at least a part of an edge surface of the reinforcing ring 150 on a knuckle 400 side is exposed from the elastic body portion and is in contact with the knuckle 400.
