Abstract:
Provided is a ball joint configured so that the structure thereof will be simplified to facilitate assembly work and so that pressing force for pressing a ball section can be easily changed. A ball joint 120 is provided with a ball stud 130. The ball stud 130 is provided with a ball section 133 located at the front end of a shaft-like stud section 131. The ball section 133 is retained in the housing section 152 of a housing 150 while being covered with a ball seat 140 composed of a first ball seat 141 and a second ball seat 142, which respectively cover each of the hemispheres of the ball section 133. The housing section 152 has a shape of a closed-end cylinder, and an elastic body 160 is provided on a receiving section 153 which is the bottom of the housing section 152. The housing 150 has a housing thread section 154 formed on the outer peripheral surface of a protrusion 151 which forms a part of the housing section 152 for housing the ball seat 140. A pressing body 170 is fitted through threads to the housing thread section 154 while the pressing body 170 presses the first ball seat 141.
