Title:
BALL PRODUCTION MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1996/020760
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This invention provides a machine for producing a ball made of a core covered with two melton sheets. Upper and lower applicators (850, 750) each including a stationary table (751) and a pair of sliders (757, 758) symmetrically sliding on the stationary table while interposing a recess portion (752) between them and having a recess portion (761) on the opposed surface thereof are disposed in such a manner that their horizontal axes make right angles. A melton sheet (10) coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back thereof is set to each applicator and held by fixture members (767 to 769, 787). A core (14) coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive is placed on the melton sheet (10) of the lower applicator (750). Thereafter, the upper applicator (850) is lowered until the core ball is sandwiched between the upper and lower applicators. The sliders (757, 758) are then closed in synchronism with the upper and lower applicators and are closed to a predetermined position while moving back each fixture member (767 to 769, 787) thereby attaching two melton sheets (10) to the core ball.
