Abstract:
A ball screw device (100) is provided with a screw shaft, a nut (101) threaded on the screw shaft with a plurality of balls interposed therebetween, a circulating member (103) for circulating the plurality of balls between the screw shaft and the nut, and a retaining member (107) for holding the circulating member (103) in the nut (101). A protrusion (125) having an arcuate cross-section is formed in the outer side of the circulating member (103) in an assembled state; the middle part of the retaining member (107) is a curved part (127) of which, in an assembled state, the outer-side surface protrudes radially outward, the inner-side surface is formed concave radially outward, and the cross-sectional shape as viewed from the axial direction of the nut (101) is formed in a substantially arcuate shape; and the protrusion (125) of the circulating member (103) and the curved part (127) of the retaining member (107) engage together.
