Abstract:
Provided is a ball screw device of a so-called multiple-thread type which, despite having a sufficient load-bearing capacity, enables a decrease in size of a nut member. The ball screw device is provided with: a screw shaft (2) having N (N is an integer of 2 or more) rolling grooves (20) with the same lead; balls (4) that roll in the rolling grooves (20); and a nut member (3) which is assembled onto the screw shaft (2) with the balls (4) therebetween and which has one or a plurality of infinite circulation paths (40) for causing the balls (4) to circle around the screw shaft (2). Each of the infinite circulation paths (40) of the nut member (3) includes: N load portions (32) in which the balls (4) roll while bearing a load and which respectively correspond to the N rolling grooves (20); and N no-load portions (33) which connect load portions adjacent to each other and which cause the balls (4) to move between the N rolling grooves (20).
