Abstract:
Provided is a ball screw that can smoothly move a ball through a return path of a circulating component. This ball screw is provided with a screw shaft (1) having a helical ball rolling groove (1a) in the outer peripheral surface thereof, a nut (2) having a load ball rolling groove (2a) facing the ball rolling groove (1a) in the inner peripheral surface thereof, a circulation component (4) in which is formed at least part of a return path (7) connecting one end and the other end of the load ball rolling groove (2a) of the nut (2), and a plurality of balls (3) capable of circulating. A contact part (8), in contact with the balls (3) at two or more points, is formed in the outer peripheral side of the return path (7b) of the circulation component (4). The contact part (8) of the circulation component (4) is twisted in accordance with changes in the direction of centrifugal force acting on the balls (3).
