Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a ball screw in which, while ensuring the accuracy with which an end deflector is fitted to a nut body, the ease with which the end deflector is assembled to the nut body is improved, and a decrease in yield is avoided. [Solution] The end deflector 16 comprises a main portion 30 which includes: a ball delivery path 36 which delivers balls 28 between the rolling path 20 and the ball recirculation path 24; a tongue portion 38 which guides the balls 28 from the rolling path 20 to the ball delivery path 36; and a pair of protruding pieces 42, 44 which define a ball guide groove 40 that extends in between the ball delivery path 36 and the rolling path 20 in conjunction with the inner peripheral surface of a deflector holding recess 26 formed in the nut body so as to extend in the peripheral direction of each nut body 14 from both sides of the tongue portion 38 in the axial direction. The main portion 30 has an outer peripheral surface 30A which faces, in the radial direction, the inner peripheral surface 54B of the deflector holding recess 26. The front-side portion 30Aa of the outer peripheral surface 30A in the direction of insertion with respect to the deflector holding recess 26 is offset to the inside in the radial direction. At least the rear-side portion 30Ab of the outer peripheral surface 30A in the direction of insertion with respect to the deflector holding recess 26 fits together with the inner peripheral surface 54B of the deflector holding recess 26.
