Abstract:
This ball for ball sports comprises: a ball carcass (7); and a spherical outer layer (5) having a plurality of surface skin panels (4) and disposed on the exterior of the ball carcass (7). Each of the surface skin panels (4) has a main body (11) and a protruding portion (12) that is thinner than the main body (11), protrudes from a surface-side portion of an outer end face of the main body (11) and forms the outer end face of the surface skin panel (4). The protruding portions (12) of adjacent surface skin panels (4) are bonded to each other with an adhesive (17) and stitched together with a thread (13). The ball for ball sports is provided with reinforcing members (15) reinforcing the parts of the protruding portions (12) stitched together with the thread (13).
