Abstract:

[Problem] To be able to easily hold a ball. [Solution] Surface bodies (3) covering a ball main body (2) are configured in a manner such that a surface part (2) and peripheral wall parts (5) which protrude to the rear side from the peripheral edge part of the surface part (2) are integrally formed by injecting a soft material formed from a resin or rubber into a mold; or a flat surface part or a step part for placing a finger is formed on the surface of the ball main body (2) or the surfaces of the surface bodies (3) covering the ball main body (2); or a step part is formed in the radial direction of a ball (1) by means of one surface and another surface of adjacent surface bodies (3). As a consequence, even during ball games in which the ball (1) is held by the hand, such as handball, the ball (1) is easily held because either the surface parts (4) of the surface bodies (2) concave easily, a finger latches on to the step part, or the finger comes into contact with the flat part giving the feeling that the ball (1) has a smaller outer diameter when a person holds the ball (1), and thus it is easier to throw and catch the ball (1).
