Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a ball that has a ball main body with a sticky surface that makes the ball easy to grip, throw and catch. [Solution] A self-adhesive body 9 comprising a self-adhesive material supported by a reinforcing member is provided on the outer surface of a ball main body 41. When a person grips the ball 1 the self-adhesive body 9 sticks to fingers of the hands of the person. This allows the person to easily grip the surface of the ball 1, and throw and catch the ball easily as well. This structure does not require the user of the ball 1 to grip the ball 1 tightly. Since the self-adhesive body 9 has a configuration wherein the self-adhesive material is supported by the reinforcing member, the reinforcing member protects the self-adhesive material from damage, thereby improving the durability of the self- adhesive body 9. The reinforcing member may be a porous body such as a nonwoven fabric, woven fabric, knitted fabric, sheet or film having a large number of pores, a net-like body, a base structure with fibers or the like such as artificial turf, mohair or a carpet, or a plate-like member such as a vertical laminate of a large number of warp yarns and a large number of weft yarns, a plate-like member composed of a large number of oriented warp yarns or a plate-like member composed of a large number of oriented weft yarns.
