Abstract:

This ballast water treatment device 1 is provided with: a bypass pipe 12 having both ends connected to a ballast pipe 11, which is connected to a ballast tank 10 and through which ballast water flows, and allowing part of the ballast water flowing in the ballast pipe 11 to confluence with that in the ballast pipe 11 after branching from the ballast pipe 11; chemical retention units 30 (40) for accommodating chemicals; and chemical pipes 14, 15 connecting the chemical retention units 30, 40 and the bypass pipe 12 and supplying the chemicals from the chemical retention units 30 (40) to the ballast pipe 11.
