Abstract:
This balloon catheter, due to a simple configuration, prevents positional deviation and facilitates an operation, without increasing costs, with simple operation, and without costing time and effort. An inner balloon (20) which is expandable in the entire circumferential direction is disposed on the outer peripheral surface at a point along a tube body (11), and an outer balloon (30) which is expandable in the entire circumferential direction is disposed surrounding the inner balloon (20). A distal end side of the outer balloon (30) is adjacent to a distal end side of the inner balloon (20), and a base end side of the outer balloon (30) extends more rearward than a base end side of the inner balloon (20). The outer balloon (30) is disposed in a tapered shape so that, when the outer balloon is inflated, the outer diameter of the base end side thereof gradually increases in diameter more than the distal end side adjacent to the distal end side of the inner balloon (20) which has been also inflated.
