Abstract:
A band-widened loop antenna having a width narrow enough to be disposed between
defogger lines (20) by using a one-wavelength loop antenna (10). The one-wavelength
loop antenna (10) is a rhombus shape and symmetrical with respect to a vertical
axis of symmetry. Two band-widening elements (16, 16) are bent by 90° line-symmetrically
and disposed inside the one-wavelength loop antenna (10). The ends of the band-widening
elements (16, 16) are connected respectively to two feed points (12, 12) disposed
line-symmetrically and two corners (14, 14) disposed line-symmetrically at
a distance equal to an electric length of 1/4 wavelength from the two feed points
(12, 12). A parasitic element (18) having a 1/4 wavelength of the desired frequency
is disposed parallel to the band-widening elements (16, 16) and line-symmetrically.
The vertical outer dimension of the rhombus is equal to 1/20 wavelength of the
one-wavelength loop antenna (10).
