Title:
BAND WINDING MECHANISM IN A PACKING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1998/008740
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A band winding mechanism that can effect the operation of tightly winding a band around a pack under an appropriate balanced condition, and is highly durable and relatively light. Mechanisms for winding, cutting and welding a band are compactly assembled omitting a stripper mechanism from under a table on which the pack is placed. The mechanisms can be operated properly and smoothly. In a band winding mechanism in which a series of band passageways are formed in such a manner as to surround the pack and connected to each other via connecting members, the band passageway (28) in a plurality of band guiding pieces is constituted by a base body (20) and doors (22) opposed to the pack. The doors are mounted on both sides of the base body via a resilient restoring member (21).
