Abstract:
According to the present invention, a communication system has a terminal station device and a termination device, and a subordinate device connected to the termination device relays uplink data, which is received from a communication terminal, to a superordinate device connected to the terminal station device. A bandwidth allocation device, which allocates bandwidth to the termination device, has: a transmission permission period starting position determining unit which estimates the starting position of an arrival period, which is a period of time taken for the uplink data to arrive at the termination device from the subordinate device; a transmission permission period length determining unit which estimates the length of the arrival period on the basis of the amount of the uplink data that can be transmitted from the subordinate device to the termination device; and a bandwidth allocation unit which allocates bandwidth to the termination device on the basis of the estimated starting position and the estimated length of the arrival period.
