Abstract:
Provided in the embodiment of the present invention are a method, a device and a system for bandwidth allocation, so as to at least reduce uplink delay of a service based on TCP transmission in a DOCSIS network. The method comprises: a cable modem termination system CMTS determining, according to a rate at which a transmission control protocol TCP data packet is sent to a cable modem CM, a time T2 at which the CMTS receives a TCP acknowledgment ACK sent by the CM; and then, with a bandwidth corresponding to the time T2 as an initial bandwidth reference point, the CMTS allocating an uplink bandwidth for sending a TCP ACK data packet to the CM. The present invention is applicable to the field of communications.
