Abstract:
This bank determination device is provided with: a recording unit that records map data; an azimuth sensor; a first determination means; and a second determination means. The azimuth sensor detects the amount of angular change in a moving body on the basis of the acceleration of the moving body in the left-right direction. The first determination means determines whether or not the road in the direction of progress of the moving body is a curved road having a curved shape. When the road in the direction of progress is a curved road, the second determination means determines whether or not the curved road is banked on the basis of: a first amount of angular change, which is an amount of angular change detected by the azimuth sensor; and a second amount of angular change, which is an amount of angular change of the road being traveled calculated on the basis of the map data.
