Abstract:
Provided is a banknote-handling device that makes it easy to remove a banknote that was retained in a linking conveying part even if a wall of a safe is made thick. The present invention is a banknote-handling device (1) installed in a cash automated transaction device, wherein the banknote-handling device (1) is provided with a safe (10) comprising a metallic case, an upper unit (3U) that is provided on the outer portion of the safe (10) and is provided with a service port into which a banknote that was inserted or a banknote that is provided is accommodated, a lower unit (3L) that is provided in the inner portion of the safe (10) and is provided with a banknote-accommodating chamber (17) for storing banknotes, and a conveying path via which banknotes are conveyed. The conveying path passes through an opening (10E) of the safe and has the linking conveying part that is shunted to the outer portion or the inner portion of the safe (10).
