Abstract:
In order to provide a banknote processing device that is compact yet minimizes the movements of a user's hands, while being capable of conveying banknotes smoothly as well as consolidating the banknotes for removal, a banknote processing device 1 is provided with: a device body 1a, a banknote insertion opening 21 provided on the front face of the device body 1a, a banknote issuance opening 22 provided on the front face of the device body 1a and located in the vicinity above the banknote insertion opening 21, a shutter 23 that opens and closes the banknote dispensing opening 22, and a banknote conveyance path 2, being a single path provided inside the device body 1a and connecting the banknote insertion opening 21 and the banknote dispensing opening 22. The banknote conveyance path 2 circulates first banknotes M1, which are received from the banknote insertion opening 21 and can be used as change notes, within the device body 1a, and conveys the first banknotes M1 to the banknote dispensing opening 22. The banknote dispensing opening 22 is structured so that the opening of the shutter 23 allows the removal of a consolidated plurality of first banknotes M1.
