Abstract:
[Program] To provide a banknote processing device capable of aligning the front and back, and the upside and downside of banknotes to be dispensed, while suppressing an increase in time required for depositing banknotes into a storage unit. [Solution] According to the present invention, a control unit of a money depositing/dispensing machine performs, on the basis of an identification result of an identification unit: a money depositing process of causing, among banknotes inserted into a deposit unit (110), an upside-up, front-facing banknote and an upside-down, back-facing banknote to be stored in a stacker (200) without passing through a second reversing unit (170), and an upside-down, front-facing banknote and an upside-up, back-facing banknote to pass through the second reversing unit (170) so as to be positioned into an upside-up, front-facing banknote and an upside-down, back-facing banknote, respectively, and then to be stored in the stacker (200); and a money dispensing process of causing, among banknotes taken out from the stacker (200), an upside-up, front-facing banknote to be dispensed to a money dispensing unit (120) without passing through a first reversing unit (161), and an upside-down, back-facing banknote to pass through the first reversing unit (161) so as to be positioned into an upside-up, front-facing banknote and then to be dispensed to the money dispensing unit (120).
