Abstract:
Provided are a bar magnet and a magnetic foreign material removal device that can prevent magnetic foreign material from accumulating and reduce the magnetic foreign material that are not attracted. This magnetic foreign material removal device 50 has: a casing 51 that has an inlet opening 53 and a discharge opening 55; and a plurality of bar magnets 10 that are disposed in the casing 51 and that extend in a bar shape for a preset length. When viewed in a cross section orthogonal to the axial direction, the bar magnet 10 has an magnetic attraction portion 30 that is provided with a pair of attraction faces 29, 29 extending for a preset length so as to be parallel, and a guide portion 28 that is provided on one end of the magnetic attraction portion 30 and that guides magnetic foreign material M to the magnetic attraction portion 30. A plurality of bar magnets 10 is disposed side by side inside the casing 51 in a state to be parallel at a prescribed interval and in which one end 23 side faces in the direction that particulates or the like advance.
