Abstract:
This bar is formed of a titanium alloy including an α phase and a β phase, in which the chemical composition of the titanium alloy is, in mass percentages, 4.5-6.4% of Al, 0.5-2.1% of Fe, 0.01% or less of C, 0.05% or less of N, 0.25% or less of O, 0.10% or less of V, 0-0.40% of Si, 0-0.15% of Ni, 0-0.25% of Cr, and 0-0.25% of Mn, with the remainder being Ti and impurities, the area ratio of the β phase in the metallographic structure of the titanium alloy is 20% or less, and the average minor axial length of crystal grains of the β phase is 2.0 μm or less.
