Abstract:
A method for selecting a barley of interest based on a polymorphism marker A (a part at which there is found a difference between nucleotides represented by SEQ ID NO: 7 and corresponding nucleotides represented by SEQ ID NO: 5/6 when multiple sequence alignment is done), a polymorphism marker B (a part at which there is found a difference between nucleotides represented by SEQ ID NO: 6 and a corresponding nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 5/7 when multiple sequence alignment is done) and a polymorphism marker C (a part at which there is found a difference between nucleotides represented by SEQ ID NO: 5 and a corresponding nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 6/7 when multiple sequence alignment is done), wherein the genotype of the barley is determined based on the polymorphism marker A or based on the polymorphism marker B/C using an amplified DNA fragment that is produced by the polymerase chain reaction using genomic DNA for the barley as a template and using a primer pair comprising nucleotide sequences represented by SEQ ID NO: 3/4, and (i) a barley of which the genotype is identical with the genotype of the nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 7 or (ii) a barley of which the genotype is identical with the nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 5 or SEQ ID NO: 6 is selected.
