Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a base panel for use as a heat exchange plate which allows efficient discharge of a liquid film produced when a heat exchanger is operated, has projections and recesses formed so that the thickness of the liquid film is lessened, and for which heat conductivity is improved without losing the projections and recesses; and a method for manufacturing such a base panel. A base panel (1) for use as a heat exchange plate is made of a flat metal panel which has fine projections and recesses formed on the surface thereof, and press machining is carried out on the flat metal panel as after-processing. The projections and recesses comprise a plurality of projections (2) formed at a prescribed interval therebetween. The plurality of projections (2) each comprise a first ridge (2a) disposed at an angle of +θ with respect to the width direction of the base panel (1) and a second ridge (2b) disposed at an angle of -θ with respect to the width direction of the base panel (1). The projections (2) are formed into V shapes by the first ridges (2a) and the second ridges (2b).
