Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a base paper for a metallized paper capable of providing a metallized paper having excellent barrier properties. The base paper for a metallized paper of the present invention has a clay coat layer and a resin layer on at least one surface of a paper base material in this order, wherein the resin layer surface has a wet tension of 50 mN/m or more as measured according to JIS K 6768:1999, and a print-surf surface roughness of 2.5 μm or less as measured in accordance with JIS P 8151:2004.
