Abstract:
Provided is a base sheet for a total heat exchanger element, which exhibits high moisture permeability, an appropriate degree of moisture absorption and excellent flame resistance and gas barrier properties while having a low basis weight. This base sheet for a total heat exchanger element is obtained by incorporating calcium chloride in a paper base material, and is characterized in that: the paper base material contains a pulp having a freeness of 200-600 mL, as measured in accordance with JIS P 8121 except that the pulp collection amount is 0.3 g/L; the bone-dry basis weight of the paper base material is not less than 17 g/m2 and less than 23 g/m2; and the content of the calcium chloride is not less than 6 g/m2 and less than 9 g/m2.
