Abstract:
A base station apparatus and a communication system are a base station apparatus (30) which performs communication with a mobile terminal (10). The base station apparatus is provided with a handover processing section (65) which performs handover of the mobile terminal (10), based on an instruction given from the base station control apparatus (50), and a control section (38) which requests the base station control apparatus (50) to perform handover of the mobile terminal (10), based on a moving speed and a moving direction of the mobile terminal (10). With the base station apparatus and the communication system, handover can be suitably performed.
