Abstract:

Embodiments of the present invention provide a base station and a beam forming method. The method comprises: determining an uplink receive power of each of m beams according to uplink detection signals respectively received through the m beams, m being a positive integer greater than 2; selecting n beams from the m beams according to the uplink receive power of each of the m beams, n being greater than or equal to 2 and less than or equal to m and n being a positive integer; determining a beam forming (BF) weighted value according to the uplink detection signals respectively received through the n beams; and weighting the n beams by using the BF weighted value, so as to form an optimized beam used for data transmission. The embodiments of the present invention can effectively implement a BF technology in an MIMO system.
