Abstract:
A terminal information aggregation unit (104) determines whether to do hand-over based on a CIR value sent from a communication terminal device. An idle period setting determination unit (105) requests to set an idle period when the number of communication terminals to be handed over is equal to or larger than a predetermined number. A priority calculation unit (106) calculates priority based on the CIR value. A scheduling unit (107) sets the idle period and performs scheduling. A data selection unit (108) selects data to be sent to a scheduled communication terminal. A modulation/encoding unit (110) encodes and modulates the selected data. A transmission ON/OFF unit (111) performs control so that data is not sent during the idle period that has been set up. This device, when used in the CDMA system where data signals and common known signals are time-multiplexed for transmission over the same channel, is able to receive the common known signals of sufficiently high reception quality, thus increasing the accuracy in detecting other cells.
